We saw a jumbo cross on the way to Tulsa...
...and then it rained for the entire 6 hours that we were driving. My hands were at 10 & 2 and white knuckled for the entire drive. I don't think I ever blinked. It was way scarier than the photo below suggests...
Celebratory beers were well deserved after we arrived safe and sound.
SoundPony rules. Everyone dances like crazy people until they are literally shoved out the door at 2am.

Bullsh*t is simply not tolerated.
We stayed with Monika and Tony. They are Mount Righteous fans and happened to be at the show. Their house was killer. Hardwood floors, super bright painted walls and Wally the dog. He is not the brightest crayon in the box, but has the cutest little face.
Monika's son's artwork informed us that Wally is a licker. And a porch pooper.
We had some time to kill the next day and went to the Tulsa Zoo. Monika and Tony had membership cards so we got in for free. Word! You need to check out this zoo if you're ever in the area. It was excellent.
The weather was overcast and perfect and all of the animals were out and about.
The petting zoo portion always makes me sad for some reason. But these little guys were just too cute to pass up.
